Lifetime Windscreen & Workmanship Warranty Policy
At Western Sydney Windscreens, we take pride in delivering professional windscreen replacement and installation services you can rely on. We stand behind the quality of our workmanship with a Lifetime Workmanship Warranty on eligible windscreen installations, giving you added confidence and peace of mind.
Our warranty covers qualifying installation and workmanship defects for as long as you remain the original owner of the vehicle, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.
1. Our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty
Our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty applies to eligible windscreen installations completed by our team.
How long does the warranty last?
The warranty remains valid for as long as the customer who originally purchased the installation continues to own the vehicle.
The warranty specifically covers defects directly attributable to our installation or workmanship. It does not cover damage caused by external factors, accidents, impacts, or circumstances unrelated to our services.
2. What's Covered Under Our Warranty?
We are committed to providing high-quality windscreen installations. If an eligible issue arises directly because of our workmanship, it may be covered under our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty.
Windscreen Water Leaks
Water leaks caused by improper windscreen fitting, installation, or sealing performed by our team.
Installation & Fitting Defects
Defects directly resulting from the windscreen installation process, including workmanship issues associated with fitting, positioning, or sealing the glass.
Installation-Related Stress Cracks
Stress cracks determined by our team to have resulted directly from our installation workmanship, provided the damage was not caused by an impact, external force, or another unrelated factor.
ADAS & Camera Recalibration Workmanship
Where ADAS or camera recalibration was included in the original windscreen replacement service, workmanship-related faults caused by our installation or recalibration may be covered.
Important: Warranty coverage is subject to assessment of the reported issue and confirmation that the defect is directly attributable to our workmanship.
3. What's Not Covered Under Our Warranty?
Our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty covers installation and workmanship defects only. It does not provide general protection against glass damage occurring after the service.
The following circumstances are excluded from coverage:
- Stone Chips & Road Debris: Damage caused by stones, loose gravel, or other objects striking the windscreen.
- Impact Damage: New cracks, chips, or glass damage caused by physical impacts or external forces.
- Accidents & Collisions: Damage arising from road accidents, vehicle collisions, or other incidents.
- Vandalism: Deliberate damage or damage caused by third parties.
- Normal Vehicle Use: Damage occurring after installation as a result of vehicle use and unrelated to our workmanship.
- Misuse or Neglect: Damage caused by improper use, misuse, or neglect.
- Vehicle Modifications: Damage resulting from modifications made to the vehicle or windscreen after installation.
- Vehicle Structural Issues: Damage resulting from bodywork defects, structural movement, or pre-existing vehicle conditions unrelated to our services.
- Previously Repaired Chips: Further cracking or spreading of an existing or previously repaired windscreen chip.
Physical impact damage may also invalidate warranty coverage for the affected area where the damage is determined to have resulted from that impact.
4. Windscreen Chip Repair Warranty & Limitations
Windscreen chip repairs are not included in our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty.
While professional chip repairs can help restore strength to the damaged area and reduce the risk of further cracking, they cannot guarantee that an existing fracture will never spread.
This is because the glass has already been damaged before the repair takes place.
What You Should Know Before a Chip Repair
By proceeding with a windscreen chip repair, you acknowledge and understand that:
- The affected glass has already been weakened by the original damage.
- Repair results may vary depending on the chip's size, depth, location, and age.
- Some chips or repair marks may remain partially visible after treatment.
- A repaired chip may still develop into a larger crack due to vibration, temperature changes, additional impacts, or normal vehicle use.
- No warranty is provided against further cracking or spreading of the previously damaged area.
When Is Windscreen Replacement Recommended?
If our technicians determine that the chip is too large, deep, poorly positioned, or otherwise unsuitable for a reliable repair, we may recommend a complete windscreen replacement.
Our priority is to recommend a solution appropriate to the condition of your windscreen and your vehicle's safety.
5. Warranty Eligibility & Vehicle Ownership
Our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty is provided to the original customer who purchased the eligible installation service.
The warranty:
- Applies for as long as the original customer owns the vehicle.
- Is associated with the windscreen installation performed by our team.
- Does not automatically transfer when the vehicle is sold or ownership changes.
- May only be transferred where otherwise agreed in writing by our team.
6. Important Warranty Conditions
Please note the following conditions when considering warranty coverage:
- Warranty claims are assessed based on the nature and cause of the reported issue.
- Coverage applies only to defects directly attributable to the workmanship or installation services we performed.
- Damage resulting from road hazards, collisions, external impacts, vehicle defects, or other unrelated events is not covered by the Lifetime Workmanship Warranty.
- The Lifetime Workmanship Warranty does not extend to windscreen chip repairs.
7. Australian Consumer Law
Our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any consumer rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
Any limitations or exclusions described in this policy apply only to the extent permitted by law.
